The Inns – Biggleswade's Crowning Glory in the 17th & 18th Centuries

This is a detail on the right hand side of the mosaic. The large figure with his hands in the air was made by two ladies from Aragon Housing Association at Northfields, members of the Biggleswade History Society and the final mosaic tile was put in place by Mrs Nora Balfe, who with her husband was the landlady of the Crown Inn from 1962-1985. The Mosaic is in the yard of the Crown Inn which is also part of the public right of way in Biggleswade.
