On 19th March 2018, The Rt. Hon. The Earl Peel GCVO DL (The Lord Chamberlain) came to Sandy in Bedfordshire to unveil two mosaics and a plaque to Captain Sir William Peel VC KCB RN. Lord Peel is the great, great nephew of Captain Sir William Peel.

The mosaics were designed by Oliver Budd. This mosaic showing Captain Peel throwing a fizzing bomb back over enemy lines was made by pupils from Robert Peel Primary School in Sandy. The two roundels showing at the top Captain Peel's VC (now in the Maritime Museum, Greenwich) and below The Swiss Lodge (at RSPB HQ in Sandy) were made by mosaic artist Oliver Budd.
